I am once again hosting the Laughtastic Skecth-0-palooza at World Cafe Live which benefits the Jefferson Hospital of Neuroscience. While not billed as such, this is the show that honors the memory and humor of Mike Young, a good friend who died last year of a “stupid-fucking-tumor.” You can read more about that here.

After Mike passed, his wife Danna decided to put on a show instead of a funeral with the proceeds going to the Mike Young Fund at Jeff Hospital for Neuroscience (where Mike spent the last 6 months of his life). She donated the money to rehab the family waiting room, which was a sad looking place to spend hours worrying about a loved one. The show was so successful that she’s doing it again if the hopes of making it an annual fundraising event.

Knowing Danna it will go for years.
