I love how passionate people are about comedy and comedians. I am a HUGE Zach Galifinakis fan but I guarantee there are people out there who hate him and find him unfunny and pretentious. That’s fine because they are entitled to their opinion.

They are also ignorant assholes.

Esquire Magazine wrote an article recently called Will the Next Dane Cook Please Stand Up, which is an innocent enough piece about some of the next big comedians to possibly achieve Cook-cess. It’s a bit misguided at times (David Cross as the next big thing? I think he’s already pretty big), but if they can expose Aziz Ansari and Demetri Martin to more well-dressed people with wads of cash, then good for them.

However, Comedy Central Insider takes Esquire to task; not on their choices, but on their audacity. How dare they not think Patton and David are already comedy legends!!! Read it here.
